In response to the looming threat of hurricane Irma, we had to prepare for the worst, secure and protect all sensitive equipment, and flee to safer places around the country. In the end, this tempest-forced diaspora delayed research in the lab by approximately 6 weeks. At the time this screen shot below was taken, the “M” was directly spotted on Miami. The storm eventually shifted slightly to the west, and we were spared form the worst it had to offer. Our thoughts go out to all of those adversely effected in the Keys and beyond.
