Following on the success of the “Python Programming for Bioscientists” class he created and taught to Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology students in the Spring of 2017, Dan has expanded his course to include the entire PIBS program in the Spring of 2018. In this new class, graduate students (and others) learn how to solve problems related to their research using the Python programming language. This class fulfills part of Dan’s mission to expand coding literacy within the UM research community to tackle the challenges associated with our era of “big data”.
