We are very excited that Amy has joined the lab this summer as part of the Miller School of Medicine’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program. Amy is a bioinformatics major hailing from the University of Pittsburgh. She is the first pure computationalist to join the lab, is a very talented programmer, and always has a smile on her face. Amy will be working to develop some structure-based cheminformatics ideas that have been brewing in the lab over the past year. She is also interested in picking up some wet lab skills so she will be doing some CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing that supports several other projects in the lab.
